That's what baffles me the most. I mean, you shouldn't be able to keep your job as starting kicker if you're as shaky as he is at this level, but honestly if it were just that, I would get it.

Missing PATs at this rate is just flat out unacceptable. I was ready to turn the page on him and move on after he made all his PATs against Bama (figured he would choke there if anywhere early this year), but he did well. Then SMU happened and we're back to square one. I'm done with him, I'm sorry.

Well in the spirt of this week, I will happily cheer every one he misses next game. That may be the high point for me.

he's got the yips. You can tell because the way he missed the first one was the exact way he missed the second. Kicking is a lot like putting. It's really not very hard. There aren't a lot of mechanics to get right. But some people just get the yips. It's in his head, not his ability. That's hard to fix because he probably does it right time after time in practice. Honestly, Bertolet has all the makings of an elite kicker.

Btw, equally disturbing to me is how much trouble Kaser is having holding. He's fumbled like 3 holds this year. One I think Bertolet made anyway but that's not helping.
