Mathematical polls mostly look goofy in hindsight and in comparison to human polls.
People always bash the human polls but it's not the computers who put Texas and Nebraska in the top 15 EVERY YEAR. it's idiotic name recognition. I just don't understand these power rankings, obviously no human would not have Alabama in the top 15, It's got to be math.
but wisconsin is SIXTH with a loss. Oregon 1 and Baylor 2 means it has got to be going purely off in game statistics, without considering SOS or W/L. Cincinnati got destroyed by Illinois in week 2, but is 15th. I just can't figure what the heck makes this poll tick. Its results are wildly different than anything else.

So if the official NCAA website is run by Bleacher Report which is owned by Turner. Turner runs college sports.
