The Daily Mountain Eagle in Jasper reported that Cullman defensive coordinator Matt Hopper left the field with a bloody face and ripped shirt. Walker coach John Holladay, Cullman coach Mark Britton and Jasper Schools Superintendent Robert Sparkman all declined to comment.

Shortly after the (Cullman) Bearcats rushed the field to celebrate their victory, a full-on brawl broke out. Cullman defensive coordinator Matt Hopper emerged with a torn shirt and visibly cut, bruised and bloodied face. Players from both teams were immediately ushered to their respective locker rooms. Bearcat administrators coordinated with local police to find an alternate exit from the stadium

I will say this, I probably have been to 2 or 3 games at cullman hs and all of them were one sided with refs favoring cullman. I went to watch Carnell Williams play cullman his senior year and he had 2 long touchdowns called back. Broke another and on about the 10 yard line started looking back for flags. Also cullman did an onside kick to open the 2nd half and the kicker kicked the ball twice. No call. Cullman also won the game. Carnell Williams was the best running back I have ever seen in person play also. The Etowah team his junior year was one of the best teams I have ever seen play too.

Cullman is what people from up north picture when they think of Alabama, if they've never been.
Type of place where they still hold weekly klan rallys

This is such a backward arse state. No wonder everyone laughs at us and makes fun of the South.
Bad behavior. Class, dignity and sportsmanship are disappearing.

Looked as though he came over to start some shite and got his alpha male arse called to the turf and then promptly wooped. Perhaps in good judgement you shouldnt walk over to the opposing coaching staff and 100 players and start shite.

I don't care what he said, that other coach sucker punched him. Prime time a$$hole examples for their players. Pathetic

If you have ever spent much time in walker county this should not surprise you.

It was totally the Walker coaches' fault. Walker county is full of white trash. Cullman is really not a bad place anymore.

You can take the trash out of the area, but you can't take the area out of the trash.
