Well they aren't the Louisiana Saints, so no.
Also they are a just the New Orleans branch of the NFL, which is based in New York. I do like the Saints in the sense that they bring attention and added revenue to my state, but at the end of the day it's just an office building downtown that you're rooting for. A University, as I hope you know, has a much different relationship and role within the community.

No it really isn't. The Saints do not represent me as someone who grew up in Baton Rouge. They represent the city of New Orleans. It makes it pretty clear in their name. They are also a business first. Neither of these facts are true of LOUISIANA STATE University. Quite the opposite actually.
