But didn't they have the best WR corps in the country, the best offensive line of all time, and the best running back stable in the country?

NO, no, and maybe. Not real sure what that has to do with AJ's ability. Should we assume Manziel was merely a product of having two first round tackles, two NFL caliber RBs, and a stacked WR corps?
