Scheduling matters. It shouldn't, but it does.

And when the schedule is not even based off of a rotation, it's just randomly put together by some Alabama grad, and Alabama (and UGA) just happend to benefit from that "random" schedule every year...

If it looks like a rat, walks like a rat, and smells like a rat...

How will we benefit next year? We play UF early in the season while breaking in a new QB. I wouldn't consider that getting a break. And do throw out the fact that we don't get a return trip to the swamp, because we will more than likely go to UGA in 2015.

I think the only way to do this, if we're hellbent to hold onto the traditional inter-division rivalries (doesn't matter to me, but I understand *why* it does to Bama/UTK, UGA/AUB and OleMiss/Vandy to a lesser extent), then the only logical way to fix the scheds is to radically shake up the conference divisions and go with the pods idea.

Or we can just ignore that it's an issue. Which seems to be what the SEC is doing.

The schedule is still following the old rotation as closely as possible. Obviously things change when you bring in two new teams, and the biggest change (and reason for a weak Alabama schedule last year) was the desire to give the two new teams the most marquee cross-division home game possible (Alabama @ Mizzou, UF @ A&M)

It's awesome that some of you seriously think one guy is solely responsible for making out the SEC schedule, and he does so at random.
