Two weeks ago I thought Hentges was coming in and we would have him. Whiffed on that one.
I think TBJ is in. His momma was very happy with the warmth that COMO showed the Beckner family.

He had 7 picks as a Soph., 8 as a Jr.. No stats on him this year. It says he has 4.5 speed, but I'm pretty sure he is much faster. Love the class we have this year it just seems he has went under the Rader. Who is the recruiter in the Joplin Metro area (we call it "the 4 States). I noticed Henson did some work on the Juco players in KS.

does anyone know if Robinson moves on do we take the Coleman commitment? I know the dark period started at midnight, so I'm assuming something has been worked out previously.

Looking in state. Not a great job, but not a bad job. 6 of the top 12 in Missouri per 247. If you include Abbington, I'd make it 7 of 13.
Of the 6 misses:
**Hentges and Ofodile were a disappointment.
**Davis twins I tired of and could care less but they were misses.
**Tre Moore and Alec Murphy weren't pursued at all.
**So really they snagged 7 of the top 11 in state players that they targeted.
**The only in state player taken outside of those top guys was Owen, who I trust the staff knows intimately.

IF IF IF IF they land Beckner, Mizzou will have landed the top player in kansas, Missouri and Illinois.
With the same IF's, it would also mean we got 2 out of the top 5 in kansas and 2 out of the top 5 in Illinois to go with the 7 of top 11 in Missouri.

Rarely go the JUCO route to this extent, but if you're going to, might as well grab:

It's pretty hard to get those Iowa guys out of state. They are dug in like ticks.
Nebraska had a 6'7" DE that was looking around, but we never showed interest. He's the one that threw Michigan out of the house after the recruiter said "he couldn't go to Michigan without football."

It's gonna be harder to get into those states. Nebraska and Iowa are such household names to kids growing up there. Also, they just don't produce much top end talent. I think Nebraska only had a total of five 3* players this year. Iowa not many more.
I think the staff identified the right states to start with, kansas and Illinois because their state teams aren't household names. If anything, I think they have a perfect opportunity right now to make a presence in Memphis, with it's proximity and with Odom joining the staff.

Technically, I don't think we flipped him. I believe he decommitted from OU and started looking and we got him soon after.
Still great to get players with this recruiting class sought after by some pretty good schools. Stealing Hall and Howard from Wisky is pretty sweet.
