Dumas tight end Will Gragg reports running a 4.79 time in the 40, 4.2 pro-shuttle, 33 vertical and 39 power ball toss for a score of 106.

Phillips finishes third in SPARQ National Championship

He had a 4.63 electronic time in the 40 yard dash, 3.97 shuttle, 42.3 vertical and a 43 foot power ball toss for a rating of 143.00.

North Little Rock receiver K.J. Hill finished ninth. He recorded a 4.61 time in the 40, 3.94 shuttle, 38.2 vertical and a 39.5 power ball toss.

Tyler Phillips with a 4.86 laser time in the 40. The finals are on grass. The prelims were on turf.

NLR S Tyler Phillips seemed to be struggling in the 40. Appears to be a hamstring problem.

Tyler Phillips shuttle-3.94 PB-42.5 very-41.6. Laser 40-4.73

Were those just different bits that you put together in one post? I was reading it like it was one report, so having the different 40 times sprinkled around was confusing.

Not to mention the fact that there is a pretty big difference between 4.6 and 4.8.

TE Will Gragg is having a heck of a first game. He and Kyler Murray have really built a good bond. #TheOpening

Different bits.

Apparently he has a hamstring problem and the times in the final round was on grass, prelims on turf.

I'm not sure, he was up at the camps trying to earn one, IIRC and is going back to a camp this month to try again, I believe.

He tore it up at this deal, but that doesn't mean he can play, if you know what I mean.

If it came down to needed a spot filled at his position and it was between him and a similar kid from Texas I could see him getting a spot, otherwise he seems like the ideal candidate to talk into walking on.

FROM RD

“They’re doing a little bit,” Newsome said with a big grin “I know Will likes Arkansas and K.J. but I don’t know. I guess we’ll see what happens down the line. Nothing is really set in stone until signing day. If I commit somewhere, that’s set in stone as far as other visits and things like that.”

He rushed 83 times for 826 yards, 8 touchdowns along with 21 receptions for 532 yards, a 25.33 yards per catch and 10 touchdowns last year. ESPN rates him the No. 18 receiver prospect and the No. 167 overall recruit in the nation.

His mother, Cheryl was born in Little Rock while his aunt, Lana Nayles lives in the city. The Fighting Irish appears to be the fifth school on his list.

RYAN NEWSOME... THoughts? WILL AND KJ LIKE ARKANSAS AND ARE SPEAKING HIGHLY OF THE HOGS?

Really this is irrelevant info, unless his mom raised him as a razorback fan, its pretty meaningless info. I know BJ Young had family from LR, but Mizzou's AD put a stop to Mike recruiting him so he didn't while at Mizzou, since then it seem if any recruit has a 4th cousin on his momma's brother in-law's side who was from Arkansas people think there is a connection that doesn't exist....

That's RD's schtick. Remember him writing multiple articles about Jahlil Okafor being born in Ft. Smith and growing up as a tiny kid in Moffat, OK and his dad playing at WestArk.

It's annoying when RD reaches far far into the bag of tricks to try to generate interest and hope that the Hogs have a chance for elite talent.

The most recent was King McClure.

The kid was born in Texas has always lived and Texas and decided to go to a school close to his home in Texas.

Somewhere, because his dad was born in Conway meant that he was a Hog Lock, and that has became the narrative.

Priest Holmes was born in Ft. Smith, OJ Simpson was a born in South Arkansas according to one biography (or maybe his father was from there, who cares.)

I read a quote earlier from a recruit talking about how "relentless" this staff was in recruiting.

He meant that in a good way.

I also read about some LB from Utah that can go basically anywhere he wants the staff is looking at, of course mass panic about "just offer him", but then other tid bits about how the staff was seeing if their was a legit mutual interest before an offer and active recruiting.

Seems the staff isn't out to waste time and resources on recruits who have zero interest in Arkansas, so keep that in mind when they are recruiting and offer someone, IMO.
