He named us his leader last week. So we just need him to have a good visit and we should be good to go.

The Texas 247 site ranks him as the #10 RB in Texas right behind Rawleigh Willaims at #9.

Per Twitter:

Gragg trims list to 6 in no particular order:

Arkansas
Alabama
Ole Miss
LSU
Texas
Louisville

I thought he already released the 5 who would be getting an official visit?

Of course Arkansas was not on it.

Ole Miss
LSU
Texas

IIRC it was these 4 now he is adding:

quote:

Louisville

It use to mean to "enjoy the process" was to enjoy the attention and take advantage of what this opportunity provides, now its trolling the shite out of the homebase in an effort to having grown adults yearn for you.

It looks like he swapped Florida St for Louisville.

Which brings up an interesting scenario actually. Will the melt be bigger if he commits to Louisville or an SEC West rival?

I believe you are right.

There will be melts on the hog boards if he officially visits Louisville, Texas, OM, LSU, Bama, and not Arkansas.

All Louisville does is take the scab of that wound on the message boards, keeps the Petrino lovers with ammo, leaves the rest to put up with their nonsense. If he was smart, he would have dropped Bama and added Auburn to his list to get the maximum trolling.

His brother has been "on record" in support for Arkansas, not Petrino, FWIW, but then he was committed to Nutt and stuck out his commitment to Arkansas after the coaching change.

quote:

The last thing we spoke about was Will Gragg. Not to bash Gragg at all, Tevin said Austin Cantrell is the best TE he has seen out of all the guys the coaching staff has had on campus this offseason for camps. I know we have heard this before from RD, just providing y'all with the conversation we had. He likes our odds with both Will and KJ though.

Came across this in a thread elsewhere about a guy running into Tevin Beanum, its on topic for the current discussion, the poster also bragged on how well mannered Tevin was, FWIW.

Not surprised he didn't take an official to Arkansas, he's been coming to Fayetteville since he was 14. He's visited campus a dozen times at least already.

I'm aware. It isn't like his OV here would be a big deal unless he was actively recruiting for us with the others there that weekend.

However, all his recruitment has done is troll posters on other boards because of his star ranking and the fact his list includes damn near every school those posters despise. If his list was Syracuse, Florida St., North Carolina, Washington, or similar it wouldn't have the same effect on people...

Its hard to ignore it gets brought up in every recruiting thread on other boards, this new list will only make it worse, I fully expect Auburn to be added at some point before its over.

Carr looks pretty good. Runs like a deer and has a great first step.

So we gonna be able to pull any out of state 4 stars?

If we can get to 6-6 I think we can convince a couple to flip from somewhere to get a better chance at some early PT or there'll be some greyshirts or guys dropped due to numbers.

no no no no. I'm talking about additional 4 stars, not who we already have committed.

There could be a Darius Philon situation, not as malicious as Saban, but a guy getting asked to grayshirt when he thought he had a scholly.

I can see Tennessee, Bama, FSU, Auburn, A&M, Penn St., Ohio St., and maybe Clemson having to jettison a recruit or two and we could be in good position to sway a guy like we did with Rawleigh Williams.

Not much recruiting news until the dead period ends and SEC media days then the July camp on the 24th.

Many of the top 250-300 lists that have 4 stars now will be different at the end of the year when players blow up their senior HS season.

It could bode well for us that so many schools are getting full. Have to get big names on campus again for official visits like the staff did last year.

My dad and I met him at fan day last August -- he seemed like a really good kid and was very well mannered. His mother and sister were there too and were great people, and he took a pic with my dad, my son and me.
