FYI, the entire OM football staff was at Whole Hawg Café tonight........ KJ Hill and Gragg
We can't let those guys in our state. That's the last thing that we need.

We are in on a Guard and Forward from Mizzou's territory, quite possible we land both.

I wish, but we were outnumbered in our own restaurant, shitloads of OM fans in there tonight.
Caught me way off guard, at least 25-30. We've got to quit hiring these sumbitches here in LR.

Are y'all pursuing any Missouri kids in this class? I see y'all offered Hentges and Ofodile, but anyone else that maybe just don't have offers yet? Seems you guys are always good to pull a handful of the top players out of Missouri, didn't know if this year is different. Seems last year was the year of the big boys and this year is more of the skilled position players as far as top end recruits go.
It doesn't seem like it. They were going after Henteges hard before he blew up but I think we're out of it now. Especially after taking a commit from another TE. As of now, it looks like we're waiting out Gragg and O'Grady.
They were interested in Alec Murphy but have concerns about his speed. They had invited him to visit in the spring but kept pushing the date back. They may circle around and look at him again at some point if we strike out on different RB targets.
Other than that, I don't see them offering anyone else at this point.

They were too busy serving the OM staff and others.

I know about Whitt. Who else?
What about football?
ETA - And by all accounts, Whitt is a helluva player. Watched him play in the state championship game and he was impressive, dropping about 30.

I had heard that about his speed or lack of it being a concern. Mizzou at one point was interested but moved on as well. It seems that there is not that much talent in this years class in Missouri in terms of numbers, which is one reason why I was curious. It seems there are 4 or 5 quality players and nothing. Last year there were 3 or 4 real quality players but then another dozen solid players after that.

I think we'll be in the top 3 for Hentges, but another 4 win season will keep a lot of kids from picking us in the end.

6'8 PF Juwan Morgan out of Waynesville, Mo, he visited earlier last season, not many offers as of now but as you know spring/summer AAU is around the corner.

Tomorrow the spring evaluation period beings so OM is probably going to visit the AR kids.
Hog coaches will go out on Wednesday because spring practice tomorrow.

It's all about Texas, Georgia, and Cali it appears.
Oklahoma and Missouri have a weaker class than usual and the Arkansas class is insane compared to the median talent level of the past.
Tennessee has a nice in state class a few of the top guys are Juco though and Memphis is kinda down and Nashville is surging.
Louisiana has a deep class like usual but they're lacking the elite players like they've enjoyed having the last decade. tDecline is all-encompassing.
Kansas might have 2-3 marginal SEC players in the High schools.
Mississippi's class is alright but there's not enough to feed Bama, MSU, and Ole Miss and Tenn. Merffins is kind whooping Freeze as of now in state and they're scrambling.
Kentucky has a couple nice players but that's it and they might as well be in North Dakota.
Texas is what will make or break our class outside the state borders. Texas has more 5 stars than all of the above states combined. It's a deep class with tons of talent, size, speed, etc. We're striking out with the skill position guys so far and it looks like Mizzou's Texas recruiting is drying up after leaning heavy on the state for years.

if we someway, somehow make and win a bowl game, things will get much better.
If not, I am not sure about our ability to once again make very much difference in the SEC>
One can only hope I suppose!

7:18 update
Highland receiver Deon Stewart calls Arkansas his leader after today's visit. Seeing the Hogs practice gave him a more in-depth look at what it would be like to the a Razorback.
He had some 1-on-1 time with Coach Bret Bielema, receivers coach Michael Smith and strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert along with the academic support.
He sat down with offensive coordinator Jim Chaney and was told how the Hogs would use him in the offense. Arkansas also talked to him about returning punts.
He said he wants to go home and talk to his mother and didn't rule out a decision in the near future. He has plans to attend Arkansas State's spring game and will to Fayetteville for the Hogs' spring game on April 26. - RD

Could be. Besides Mizzou, though, I'm hearing a lot of Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Looks like a solid athlete at 6' 8". Looks like he had a solid summer last year (now that I'm thinking about it, I assume it was last year). Averaged over 20 ppg????

I don't think we'll be in his top three. He's supposed to announce his top 5 in the next few weeks after taking visits to Michigan, Michigan St, Ohio St, Notre Dame, Missouri, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma and Florida St. The last time he stepped foot on our campus was in September. He could still surprise me but I get the feeling that he has moved on from us as bigger names have come calling.

I just saw that he is back at Alabama today for the second time in 16 days. That's definitely not a good thing.
