Billy Donovan? The guy that has won 2 national titles? You are going to have to explain to me how he fits into what I described.
He has a mainstay in the NIT after these two years with one great team.
quote]Muschamp is still early in his career at UF, but I wouldn't consider him safe by any estimation. If he doesn't win an SEC title within a few years he probably won't be around. [/quote]
Who can Florida get that's better? The last time around you had to steal way Texas' DC, in other words you were a few years removed from hiring Chizik and becoming Iowa St.

Stole him from the unemployment line. We got rid of him last summer.
Florida stole two coaches from State (McMahon and Jackso) within a year of each other. Both were fired by UF.
That'll teach ya.

Which part is inaccurate? The NIT or great team?

SC has a solid tennis recruiting class coming in. The future is bright for Josh Goffi's program.

Not sure if following Tennis recruiting deserves an up vote or down vote...

Mainstay in the NIT is inaccurate and you know it. But hey, I get that a fan of a team with a mediocre basketball program would want to throw darts at one of the big 2.
UK is probably going to take your ire next.

When was the last time Arky signed Mr. Tennis in Arkansas? Texas has been poaching your top tennis talent for decades. Butthurt....

Mainstay in the NIT? I want what you are smoking. Oh wait, that was supposed to be a compliment. I forgot how the piggies would love to be NIT mainstays. Sorry but we have been in the NCAA tourney 13 out of the last 15 years.
The 2 years we went to the NIT we lost our top 7 players, 6 of them were underclassmen, and none was a one and done. We also went 24-12 and 25-11 those 2 years overall and 8-8 and 9-7 in conf.
Since Billy D's first 2 seasons at UF he has never had a losing record in the SEC. Arkansas has had 10. That is 10 losing seasons in the last 15 years. Let that sink in.
Now back to tennis. Men's tennis and women's hoops have long been UF's achilles heel. Foley has done everything in his power to get them up to the level of the other sports and it has been difficult to say the least. I thought Jackson was making good progress and him leaving without another gig was surprising, but you never know what happens in situations like this. Like Ian Duvenage before him, he seemed to have us in the top 10 but couldn't get us any better than 9th save for one year. When there are other schools in the conference at the very top, we expect to be there too. Adding more pressure is the dominance of the women's tennis team.
So I do not think this is a bad hire at all for Arkansas, but it's not necessarily a home run either. I will give it a 7 out of 10.
Your knowledge of Gator hoops merits a .5/10.

So, Billy D, didn't back up his NCs with NITs?
He has been killing it in the NCAA tourney since then?

Man I was on the fence about joining rival's or not, but free tennis recruiting info?
Just take my money now.
How much does a college Tennis coach get paid anyway? 50, 60 thousand dollars a year?
