Nick visits Athens Tennessee today for a charitable cause sponsored by the Athens, Tennessee Chamber of Commerce. It is the first time this event has sold out. Being just 60 miles from the Big Orange epicenter has led to many complaints and even some threats. Not from me though. For years I have had to watch the pathetic UT caravan roll into Nashville and claim it as their territory. So I am very glad Saban is giving them some of their own medicine. Hopefully, he will win a lot of converts. My only regret is that this event is not in Knoxville itself.

I moved from Nashville to Georgia 2 years ago. I went back this past Memorial Day weekend and saw so many Power T's everywhere I've been. Nothing but Power T's and no Vandy gear anywhere.

Fulmer and Al Wilson couldn't even sell it out last year. Vol fans have given up.

Didn't Alabama threaten to arrest Phillip Fulmer if he visited the state of Alabama when he was coach?

There are tons of Bama fans all over Tennessee just as there are tons of UT fans in Alabama. Not surprised he spoke there. Go to Nashville and its covered up with Tide fans like the Ham or Huntsville is with UT. Heck, where I come from in Calhoun county Alabama Les just spoke at the all Calhoun county team banquet a while back. Congratulated all the players, told the crowd the sacrifices these guys made, what it takes to excel at the game. Great speaker. I watched it on WJXSCA or whatever the Jax state channel is now but it was great and a great crowd showed up to hear him speak. Nobody made a deal of any sort about him speaking in NE Alabama and gave him a great round of applause. I just don't see the big deal. Some folks need to become adults.
