Auburn doesn't need to recoup the money from Updyke (not that they expect to, anyways), but they definitely need to make an example out of him. The lawsuit should be viewed totally separate and distinct from Updyke's criminal conviction. They should auction off all of his unprotected assets and take his trees.

Not to make fun of my own, but if we paid 100k for a shattered crystal football no telling how much we would pay for his shitty trailer.
I would probably even bid a few k, would be awesome to get a huge outdoor screen and throw Bama game parties/tailgates at Hotel Updyke.
