What is the best way to stop Westboro? Many say just ignore them. But we can do better.
We can cover them up, by protesting their protest. Please bring signs to Tuscaloosa Saturday saying things like "God bless Tuscaloosa." to cover them and steal their attention

Nobody gets invited to a funeral.
That being said, a funeral home is a private establishment and as such should obviously be able to refuse anyone they don't want to enter.
Same for cemeteries they own.
However, I don't see being able to do anything about them picketing across the road in the public parking lot.

As much as it pains me to say it, they have a first amendment right to free speech. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you can take their rights away.
I'd like to find that petition to have them classified as a hate group though..

It was intended so that people could speak out against the government without fear of prosecution, as well as religious freedom. Not so Americans could needlessly be fricking assholes to other Americans.

Wait a minute.. What if instead of taking legal action, or just ignoring them, how about we join them?
I motion for Bama fans and other general westboro-haters to show up to the westboro picket on Saturday with their own signs supporting Tuscaloosa or insulting Westboro. Do I have a second?

Protest their protest. Show up in drag. Women should be making out with each other. Hold up picket signs with graphic images of butt sects. And you tube that shite.

I'm not sure our protest should stop as low as theirs. We could just outnumber them with signs saying "God bless Tuscaloosa." and that would really piss them off. Remember, its really the attention they want.
*Eta: And us not having obscene signs and such would probably garner more news

They don't actually feel strongly about it. All they want is for someone to harass them so they can sue.
