they're in trouble IMO. Did anyone see the Spring game? Back-up QBs look weak weak...

I think most Bama fans know that, but I think the back ups could de decent until AJ comes back. AJ is a "game manager" and is propped up by the players around him to some on this site so him going down wont be as doom and gloom as you think since some suggest any QB can do what he does with the Bama running game and O-Line. That being sais, hopefully Sims or Morris step up to be a solid #2 behind McCarron in the fall

I have a feeling this will turn into the primary subject.

There's a 50/50 chance that McCarron will crash the pace car this weekend at Talladega.

Interesting.

I can say going into this season that I'm just as confident in our backup QB, Thompson, as I am in Shaw. 2 different styles of QB's, but they both do a good job.

AJ going down would definitely be trouble. He is not just a game manager. If he goes down, then you will see the definition of game manager. Coach Saban trusts him and the offense has been more dynamic as a result.

Sims might be listed as the #2 when the season starts, but there is no way he would fill the spot if AJ went down permanently. I think Alec Morris would probably step in if AJ were to get hurt. That would be asking a lot from a kid with no experience.

Frazier from AU is more likely to go down.

He looks like he has some sugar in his gas tank...

Blake Sims is one hell of a touchdown celebrator, though.

You mean if one of the best players on the two time defending champion goes down the chance for a 3 peat will significantly drop? That is really high quality analysis.

Yeah at that point it will be bootleg left and bootleg right or hand the ball off to YELDON.
