The SEC will not have tie-ins with the Cotton or CFA going forward. That doesn't mean we won't play there though as these will be at-large bowls with no conference affiliations.

How does that even work? The only thing written in stone thusfar is that it's going to be done is 1-4 in the playoff -- and how the Rose, Orange, and Sugar are setup when they aren't a member of said playoff. Doesn't make sense to go strictly by a rankings list at sites and bowls that have long histories with the SEC. How would you pick it? Someone would get shafted in the pecking order by doing that as well. Nvm how pissed ATL and Dallas are going to be if #6 KState is taken over #7 Florida or some crap like that...

I look for those two bowls(Cotton and Peach) to do everything in their power to retain their SEC relationship in this new playoff when they aren't hosting semifinal games. Just because those "tie ins" haven't been formally announced doesn't mean they aren't coming. JMO. Now that they've officially got their seat at the table, those two bowls can start playing big boy games...
