The reason is lingering hamstring issues.

He's still the best RB out of LA since LF.

Guy can't catch a break when it comes to these lingering issues. I'm worried about his ability to stay healthy for the entire duration of an NFL schedule.

i think its smart. does not seem like a serious injury, just a tweaked hammy, but why run your 40 before its fully healed if you dont have to? get a good 40 time and you can make yourself alot of extra money. And as for being more injury prone, i dont really know about that. When was he ever hurt at bama prior to the toe? It is the nature of that injury to be lingering. In fact, it speaks well of his resilience (and the quality of the bama medical staff) to be able to come back from turf toe that required surgery and play at such a high level. both mark and trent had to have knee surgery prior to the nfl.

At pro day, Jesse Williams ran a 4.9 in the 40 at 320 pounds. Wish he had been able to run it at the combine.
