Tahj Shamsid-Deen - Auburn (Columbia HS)
His Columbia team is taking on my former high school right now (Eagles Landing) in the GA AAA state championship game. He's a 5'10 PG and is the only player on Columbia doing anything. We (EL) have 3 D1 seniors and they are trees (6'10, 6'9, 6'7) so Columbia as a team isn't doing well. 33-23 EL with 5:52 left in the 3rd.

Totally forgot USCe fans, Desmond Ringer on my team (ELHS) is headed your way. He is playing very well, dominating inside. 6'9 PF.

Was baffling to me when I was there how many folks didn't play sports. Our football team could have been so good.

Last time a Henry County team won a basketball title - 1960 Henry County girls high won the State single A title game 20-19 in TRIPLE OT

Sub-six foot guards are alright with me as long as they can play.

I dont mind it as much with a PG (ESPECIALLY if they're really good), but short SG's are usually annoying a little. As much as Stringer can sometimes give us a spark from the 3-point line, boy is he a total liability defensively guarding a guy a half foot taller than him all the time and he cant ever drive to the basket.

Thanks for that heads-up thunderbird. I got in just in time to see the closing interviews.
How did the Ringer kid look? We're actually bringing-in a pretty strong class with this next class. Martin appears to be a very decent recruiter.

Definitely good, dont know if he'll ever be a force on the SEC level, but at minimum a quality player. Always hard to tell with bigs because they usually just tower over their competition they play and things come easy.

We really need some help down low next year. We've got decent guards and we're bringing in some really good big guards, but we need help down low. I hope he pans out - he didn't appear to be a big kid in terms of a power forward type, but I hope he is at least solid as you suggest.
