Maryland's slide under GW began way before their association with UA... williams refused (or was too lazy) to play the AAU recruiting game.
They're better now since his retirement, and are recruiting just fine with under armor on their jerseys. UA is also pumping tons of cash into the basketball/AAU arena and will soon be on the level of the other major shoe companies.

He won the ACC in 2010 and was named ACC coach of the year too. His slide(I'd love for Auburn to have a slide like his) imo had much more to do with his relationship with their AD and the fact he is almost 73.
