At the end of the day, we hired a Calipari guy and won't let him operate like a Calipari guy. Part of Barbee's coaching problem is that he's tired and frustrated with the situation here. That has filtered down to the players and fans. It probably would be best to change at this point because I don't see it getting any better. I don't want Jacobs involved in another hire either though. I just hope the next guy knows what he's dealing with when he takes the job.

This. Only Auburn would hire a coach that his best asset is his ability to recruit and then put up barriers that make it difficult to recruit around. If we aren't going to remove a lot of those obstacles our next coach needs to be a guy known for evaluating and developing talent that fits into a system.
