Freeze certainly has the better class, but I find it remarkable what Malzahn and staff were able to do in such a short period of time and after the disaster of a season AU had.

We didn't just change HC we completely cleaned house and still landed around a top 10 class and addressed most areas of immediate need.

Not sure who did the better job, but I am completely surprised at how well AU did this season.

Saban, Miles and Sumlin were obviously excellent as well, but they had advantages Freeze and Malzahn didn't have.

Freeze. That class is bananas.

Best? Freeze, due to overall quality.

Most impressive? Malzhan, due to time constraints and changes-in-staff that impacted his ability to recruit.

Dark horse: Mark Stoops

We were in the 60-70 range before he showed up.

Tough call. Freeze has had the benefit of being on the job longer and having his best recruit's brother on campus for a year. Malzahn and staff have been there less than 2 full months. I think Ole Miss ends with the better class (at least at the top), but AU's staff has done better - if that makes sense.

Auburn having a national championship is still pretty fresh on everyone's mind. Come to Auburn and get a National Championship. Ole Miss is a bit of a harder sell since it just came off the worst season in its history. I'm going with Freeze, but Malzahn has had a great class as well.

Freeze has done something unprecedented for Ole Miss. They're recruiting like they're USC or Texas.

Malzahn was very impressive on closing the deal. If I was an Auburn fan I'd give him grade A for recruiting.

Freeze. Though Auburn picked up some good ones, they lost the two biggest recruits they had in Foster and Liner. Spin that however you want, but it has to hurt.

I have to agree with the majority... Gus most impressive (due to time constraint)
Freeze better overall class...

To Auburn regarding Daniel... Congrats......

Freeze and it's not even close. Not because I'm trying to insult Auburn, but the opposite. Malzahn can sit in somebody's living room and say Auburn won a national title when he was there, and he was a big reason. Freeze is selling an idea that hasn't been proven yet at Ole Miss.

Gotta give the edge to Freeze.

Gustav and staff did a remarkable job this year, but AU has had plenty of top 15 classes in recent years, no matter who was doing the recruiting.

The blACK BeARs have been ranked in the 30s or lower more often than in the top 20. To pull a top 10 class the year after ranking #40 is nothing short of astonishing.

I would say Butch Jones or Mark Richt personally.

I judge classes by what happens over the next year.

Let's face it, some players don't ever make it to campus. Some do and last a year. Some just seem to disappear.

On just the LOIs, It would be Freeze.

On the over all best job it's Gus.

Shorter time fram, and no luxury of having the top recruit in the nation's brother enrolled.

Hat's off to both.

Malzhan hired one of the best recruiting staffs in the country ... doesn't really surprise me one bit.

Malzahn had the tougher sell by far, and didn't have the #1 recruit on lock because of his brother.
