I wished Miles would have thought of that.
everyone has been doing this for a while now, not sure why they made it seem like Saban is the inventor. oh well, its the truth. The RB position is not what it once was

Oh I know, my remark was just to make a point. It is odd some media members are just now 'discovering' this breakthrough.

Most teams have 2 but one is much more dominant than the other. Bamas 2 have been really equal for the past few years as the article points out. Ingram/trent.....,trent/lacey,....Lacey/yeldon....
And it will continue with Henry/Yeldon and so forth!

Things like this will continue to happen. The article instantly gets more hits because his name is attached.

I don't think they are saying Saban is the inventor. It's just that Alabama has won 3 national championships in 4 years with this system. Not only that, but ESPN has talked up the 1/2 punch of Alabama running backs since 2008 when Glen Coffee and Mark Ingram were splitting carries.
Saban didn't invent it, he just made the practice famous because Alabama is THE program right now.

Probably something to do with him producing three first round backs in three consecutive years.
