I don't know what the hell he told those guys in 2008 to get the #1 class after sucking for a decade.
Sucking for a decade? No quite, but it was a bad five years prior to 2008.
And all-star recruiting staff. National title and SEC titles on his resume. NFL background. Amazing facilities and a vision for their future. Should I go on?
Auburn landed a top five class with Chizik in 2010. They were 8-5 and 5-7 the two years prior, not to mention Chizik's abysmal record at Iowa State. What were they selling?

Im trying to figure what the point of this thread was?

Recruiting is it, and only it.
Oh really? Pete Carroll's recruiting classes at USC in the middle part of the last decade were better than what Saban is bringing in now and he only won a single BCS title in a much weaker conference.
Obviously it's about more than just recruiting.

A sudden outburst of jealousy.

What does Nick Saban's "Process" look like if he hasn't recruited like this
Better question, what does Alabama (with those highly ranked recruiting classes) look like without Nick Saban's process?
Answer:
Texas
It's talent and coaching (i.e., the process) no doubt about it.

Give me a break, all the "Process" is, is being a friggin' recruiting machine.
Chizik had, by Auburn fans account, superior recruiting classes, too.
and that netted Auburn ZERO sec wins this year. what's your point?

They were doing the opposite of selling, my friend. That's how they did it.

Why would you worry about it? It is no more BS than "All In". What works at Bama probably wouldn't work at Auburn, so don't worry about it.

He won the 2003 AP title. He won the 2004 BCS title. He almost won the 2005 BCS title but Vince Young played the greatest game of his life.
They made something like 4 or 5 rose bowls in a row. They were a bigger dynasty than Alabama is now.

Even if he'd won the game it would have been vacated for cheating.

Considering the Pac-10 in those years consisted of USC and everyone else, it's easy to see how he made those 4 or 5 consecutive Rose Bowls.

This isn't just recruiting, this is not a greatly talented team when compared to LSU who will have ten players drafted and the vast majority taken in the first four rounds. 2010 as easily the most talented team at Bama and they lost three. USC has every bit the talent Bama had and they couldn't do this against far inferior talent. If you don't recognize Saban for what he is you're either flaming or ignorant.

One (vacated) BCS title =/= Dynasty.

I agree with this. Oregon's run has been more impressive to me.

So, its not just recruiting.
Nice thread fail
