Spurrier seems to always be chiding Alabama.

I'm not sure what he meant by his latest quote stating that Alabama had the best players at every position.

Steve has the opportunity to recruit these same players, but he has too much Tommy Tuberville in him.

Steve also had a chance to come coach at Bama but he knew what came with it and bowed out so he could be worshiped at South Carolina.

Honestly, Spurrier was once a great coach and innovator. USC hasn't won with offense since he has been there. At times they are downright inept on that side of the ball.

I don't think he's piloting the ship anymore. He's just a figurehead, much like his hated rival Bobby Bowden. He's just lucky that the guys around him work their arse off.

Let's be honest. UF dominated the SEC in the 90's because Bama, LSU, and UGA were in flux and he actually had the gall to use the forward pass. But Urban Meyer surpassed what he accomplished in half that time. He's been surpassed by Saban historically and can't stand it.

Here's an idea Steve, get off your arse and rejuvenate yourself with something new like Bryant did in the early 70's. Without his change to the wishbone, he would've been exactly what you are....a flash in the pan that didn't have the courage/work ethic/gall/nuts to change.

Get to work Steve, otherwise shut the frick up.

Is it too late to give this thread the Nobel Prize for Literature?

Because Steve hates coaches that put more effort into recruiting than he does....and that means everybody in the SEC...

Having said that, if i was a bama fan i wouldn't give a shite what spurrier says. The question is why do you? Shouldn't you be happy with your team and not belly aching about not having the love and adoration of rival coaches???

Context and Link?

Of course he recruits them, just can't get 'em here at USC.

Like Saban isn't worshiped by the Crimson Side-walkers? Spurrier won at DUKE, built up UF, and is winning at USC.

Um, no. You won't find many non-Bama fans agreeing with you here. Spurrier is second all-time in SEC wins.

Are you fricking dumb? Many said 2011 was Spurrier's best coaching job. He HAS changed his philosophy. He couldn't get the same type of guys here to run his fun&gun and he's winning with running the ball and good defense.

WTF are you blabbling about?

The dude just put together back to back 11 win seasons.

And to say he hasn't developed an offense is moronic. Do you even watch football?
