f all BCS games were like this it could help get us to a 16 team playoff - the money will be too much to pass up

This will all change in 2014. Sugar, Fiesta, Orange, and Rose will be played on Jan 1. Cotton, Peach, Cap1, and ??? will be played on Dec. 31.

Championship a week + later. I foresee better attendance at major bowls and a much better holiday bowl watching experience all together.

Wow, absolute embarrassment by the Florida Gators team, coaching staff and fan base to the entire SEC.

We don't give a shite about a consolation bowl game. Just the way it is. Our team didn't want to be there and neither did the fans.

Do people really believe this stuff? Florida came out hitting hard and flying all over the field. They didn't look like they didn't care. They were woofing as they tackled UL receivers 20 yards down the field.

As for it being a "consolation" bowl, Florida backed into its bowl with UGa losing the SECCG.

Congrats on that Chick fi.... wait.

LSU played a competitive game.

Clemson would have curbstomped the Gators.

Wow, either IQs just dropped precipitously or there are some really drunk LSU and Florida fans all up in here. Is the LSU-Florida hate something new? Do both fan bases really feel this way or just a few posters?

This. Also not buying the "they didn't care" excuse. Flat out got beat down, no two ways about it.

I don't think anyone should be surprised by this. Florida consistently has shitty fan support. Their fans are horrible, which is unfortunate for an otherwise elite athletic program (not withstanding an utterly disastrous performance last night).

I would say it's more because of the date. First day back to work after back to back holiday weekends followed by a Wednesday game. People probably couldn't take more time off just to attend the game.
I guess only Florida fans work, because the Sugar Bowl has been packed in the past.

Bama/Utah

Really?

Utah finished that year undefeated.

Attendance for that game was 72,000.

The score of the game was 21-17 with 11 minutes to go in the third quarter.

For sure, Alabama blew it but please be so kind as to tell me in way what that game was worse than the shiatshow Florida put on last night.

I change my opinion because I thought Bama lost 31-7.

My pick: UF/Louisville

I would have loved to go but was told that I had not earned enough "points" with my level of contribution. I think next year they can take my 3900.00 oh wait, 4200.00 for endzone seats since they are going up again NOT gonna happen. Been a ticket holder for nearly 35 years and they want to put me on a booster point system???
Think i'll go on a cruise or 2 for that amount.

I wish the other Gator posters would just admit it: we sucked last night, and its a wonder we won 11 games this year.

HAHAHAHA, a coot talking about embarrassing the SEC. I believe you did the same when you didn't win a single game for 2 years in a row to go 0-21. Then you tore down the goal post against New Mexico St. when you finally won a game. Silly coots. Know your place in the SEC. NEW MEXICO STATE. Let that sink in a little bit before you start calling people out.

How cute, the taters finally beat a good SEC team. Now they come out of the woodworks! Where were y'all after November 24? You should thank Clowney for regurgitating Tajh in time to play in the Chic-Fil-A bowl.

Let this sink in for a while:

34-17
29-7
34-13
27-17

Speaking of embarrassing, the over-under in tonight's Fiesta Bowl shootout is 76; West Virginia nearly covered that alone against your joke of an ACC defense last year.

Never mind, they just scored again.

UF really does have poor fan support. Their baseball team is great, and no one comes...even to regional and super regionals. I am impressed that they recruit as well as they do.

This. And the ULL game is a perfect example of your statement.
