People forget the original Big 12 was very good in the 90s to early 2000s. Nebraska was dominant, K State was better than even now. Stoops and Brown were just getting rolling. It was a smash mouth run first league then. The SEC east was good. But Bama and LSU hadn't got it going yet. SEC West was very down for a while. Then came Nick fricking Saban.

The west was up before nick Saban, unless you're referring to when he first came to lsu.

A&M's only legit national title, and the 2 it made up out of the blue last summer, came well before 1975. Why do aggies act like adding coeds & becoming a traditional university has positively affected their football program? A&M has done nothing that matters in the modern era of football except cheat like hell with nothing to show for it.
