E. His mind will be on banging as many OT 10's he can over the off season.

I'm inclined to say D. Tebow did his thing pretty consistently for the 3 years he started... why not JFF?

I am so sick of you damn Aggies posting incessantly about Manziel. Just fricking stop it already!

B. It was proven in the second halves of the Bama, LSU and UF games. He will do ok against the lesser teams.

Sophmore slump.
Poor aggies. they get a peice of success but it all come crashing down the next year.
manziel will be the first Heisman winner to get benched.

Because JM doesn't have Harvin, Murphy, and Hernandez to throw to.

JFF (Hate that, btw) was excellent because he IS excellent.
However, it is very tough to dominate the SEC year in and year out.
So, he will continue to do well and A&M will be relevant and in the hunt. But, to expect the kind of amazing year is perhaps a bit much. He'll be terrific. But, not superman.

No, he has Evans, Williams, Seals-Jones, Gonzalez, Kennedy, Parker, Clear, and several others.

I dunno if he will struggle.
But the next few years he could have some problems due to losing 2 NFL caliber Tackles and his style of play.
I wonder if they will try and minimize how much he runs to decrease the number of hits. He doesn't have Tebow or Cam's size.
Will be interesting to see if his numbers will drop off.

I totally agree with you guys. It is unrealistic to expect a football player to be better as a Soph than he was as a Freshman. Plus, there is no chance he makes it through the season healthy with the way he runs around. No chance at all. Also, given the fact that he lost his 33 year old OC and is going to lose two starting offensive linemen and his best receiver, he has almost no chance of being any better than average next year. Evans won't get better. Johnson won't get better. Brandon Williams being eligible will make no difference. I highly doubt that any of the freshmen receivers will be good enough to help next year. I mean, after all, they'll just be freshmen!
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

1) I am on record as saying Manziel will continue to be excellent
However;
2) To answer your question: Tebow was a Power Runner (which is the more successful running strategy in the SEC)...so, there is that difference.
Again, I am not predicting a real fall-off. But, IF it were to happen, that would be my reason for difference from Tebow.

Answer: F
He won't struggle, but he won't have to put up obscene numbers next year. Case and point: Tim Tebow 2008
Tebow's Heisman year: 4,181 total yards, 55 TD
Tebow's junior year: 3,413 total yards, 42 TD
Florida had four players, including Tebow, combine for over 2,500 rushing yards and the yardage was almost completely even between the four.
Next year, A&M has their two transfer backs (both sophomores) eligible:
Brandon Williams (6'0 192) was actually by far our best back in the spring in every aspect. Best pass-catcher, best blocker, and best runner.
Tra Carson (6'0 227) is our big back. Rumors are that he might be up to 230-235 now. He can be the short yardage bruiser we've been missing.
So Manziel will still get his yards on QB scrambles, but we will (and should) be able to significantly reduce the QB draw plays necessary.
What's lost in Manziel's Heisman year is the fact that, while Manziel had 19 rushing touchdowns, Christine Michael quietly had 12.

How do you define struggle? Will he put up the same numbers he did this year? Probably not but that is more of a compliment to just how great this season was for him. I don't see him "struggling" but I am not sure I see him taking home another Heisman in his career. I know Spurrier would take him in a heart beat lol

Option G: He puts up even more obscene numbers, wins the Heisman again and leads the team to a NC. The analysts start saying things like "I believe we'll have our first 3-time Heisman winner." LSU cries about our easy schedule.

With the talent on our roster next season, if he has to put up similar rushing numbers next season, it will mean that we're failing in the running game.
There's no excuse for him to be our leading rusher next year when we will have Ben Malena, Trey Williams, Brandon Williams, Tra Carson, and James White.

Why do you need an excuse for being God's gift to football?

I'd rather see him put up 4,500 yards passing and < 600 yards rushing.
