If he lives in Louisiana I know why he's mad.

One thing I think folks have failed to bring up..
Bowl statistics were not included in yardage and TD totals for the regular season until just a few years ago.
If we add in bowl stats (to bring Bo to 12 games total, not the 11.. which is 3 less than Ingram) we get the following:
309 carries, 1915 yards
6 catches, 146 yards
315 touches for 2061 yards (6.5 ypt)
19 touchdowns in 12 games.
Against A&M in the bowl he had 31 carries for 129 yards and 2 catches for 73 yards. He scored both Auburn touchdowns on the day.

It's always good having a Lionel James and Tommy Agee to soften up defenses.

That's true. Then he can begin trying to equal his baseball accolades and commercial success. I think if we gave him three lifetimes he couldn't do that. What do you think?

That's all you had to read. My point was it's not like Bo Jackson was the greatest RB to ever grace the NFL.

How many times did each touch the ball?
According to the OP Ingram had more touches
quote:
Ingram:
271 rushes for 1658 yards and 17 TDs
32 receptions for 334 yards and 3 TDs
Total = 1992 yards and 20 TDs and 6.6 yards per touch
Jackson:
278 rushes for 1786 yards and 17 TDs
4 receptions for 73 yards and 0 TDs
Total = 1859 yards and 17 TDs and 6.6 yards per touch
303-282?

I'll update the OP.
so, Ingram's yards per play is actually HIGHER than Bo's was.
Interesting.

Ingram will never make a pro bowl.
Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory have a better shot at doing that because they are actually productive in the same exact system.

Did I miss the post in this thread where someone claimed he was the greatest RB to ever grace the NFL?

will never happen updyke. he is hot garbage in the NFL. He isn't even the best back for the saints which is sad.

Why are Lsu fans in a heisman thread, their only winner is well nothing to be proud of.

He isn't but it's hard to gauge how good he could have been due to 1) it being a hobby for him and 2) career was ended early.
The only way Ingram's career will end early is when he gets cut.

No. But all it takes is one fluke season for Ingram to get into a Pro Bowl and equal what Jackson did in the NFL. You can laugh at it if you want to but it's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility.
