He also has a reputation of "PLAYING UP" to the competition. Check out the '11 schedule. Beat the rose bowl pac 12 champs and the orange bowl big east champs. Plus tigers were the only team to beat the national champions.
I'm glad the rest of the west is stepping it up.

I didn't realize this. How an opponent finishes is a much better gauge than the time of the game.

At 8-5, and unranked, I don't know I would brag. Wisconsin got there this year by default. Truthfully, the Rose Bowl is diminished by this. I am sure Wisconsin is happy to be there, but this has to be the most undeserved BCS slot this year.
Of course he will forever be 0-2 in the Rose Bowl.
I think he may be a good hire, but it is a little early to vault him to the top of tne SEC coaching pantheon.
