My thoughts: DC enjoys as coaching QBs since he was one, and would prefer to stay coaching them. Sometimes even a raise isn't enough to get him to come home to coach a different position

I'm with you Rig. So many people think they know what's going on and want to be considered "insiders." The reality is that even the people that cover this program for a living don't have a clue what's going right now, and neither does anybody else.

There were people on here and on Twitter talking about how Craig was a lock to come back.

Yeah... right...

Just curious when you assholes are going to believe me when I say nobody knows anything about coaches being hired at Auburn

No offense to everyone that has claimed sources or inside knowledge but there's just none to be had.

I knew when that guy Gus Mal...err..Malzoni....uhhhh....anyways, I knew when he was telling me stuff about the hiring, he didn't know anything. I told him to lose my number after he said Ellis Johnson was coming in as DC. I totally laughed at him for that one.

All of PM's updates are like this
"We have told they have been contacted. That may or may not be true."
Or "That very well may be true, I cannot confirm"
He's such a jackass

According to numerous reports -- look it up on Twitter -- we've offered a high school coach from South Carolina as our QB coach.

Phillip Marshall is probably the worst beat reporter Auburn has. He just does rumors and gossip with not fact to substantiate them. Add in his occasional shitty editorial peace too

AUBURN, Alabama – Bobby Bentley, who won four consecutive state titles in South Carolina and is known for his high-scoring offenses, has been offered the job as Auburn's quarterback coach.

Coached in college for two years.

Only surprise is the position he will be coaching..

I'm okay with this hire, especially if it gives us a pipeline to Byrnes (where Lattimore went to HS)

I heard PM said no offer has been made, but I don't have AUC, so I really don't know.

Bobby Bentley tweeted this about 20 minutes ago:

"I am committed to District 5 and Byrnes High
School.I have not taken a job at any other school and will be coaching
at Byrnes High School."

Where there is smoke there is often some sort of fire. Not saying that there has been an offer or anything but this tweet along with the rumors pretty much confirm Malzahn at least contacted him about something.
