Well yeah, Copeland is a thug PoS. Hell Dial won an academic award for the team last night at the banquet.
Why would you think so? The reason he got that rep is because he lays the wood on blocks much like Dial did. According to you guys all his blocks were perfectly clean.

You cant lead with the crown of your helmet!
Wtf is so hard for anyone to understand? Fan or no fan, he led with his head to the side of McCarron's head.
The block itself would have been legal if not for that..
Geeez there are some stupid fricks round here.

The best part about this whole situation is when Copeland did the EXACT SAME THING in the Bama-LSU game
Where was Copeland's hit in relation to the ball?

Except JC was flagged in a huge game for the exact same thing that negated a run to inside Bama's 5yd line.

It's over.
Shoulda been flagged. Wasn't. What can ya do about it? I can tell you what you DO NOT DO and that's give up 350 yards rushing.

Just amazed at how womenlike folks are for a clean hit between the numbers of someone moving towards the runner.
If it's clean why did the SEC officials say it was a penalty after the fact? Serious question. Is there an issue with the rules interpretation on the part of your officials?

A clean hit can be unnecessarily rough.

I think it is pretty obvious that the only logical conclusion is an SEC Warren Commission. Which way did his head move? Was there a second potential tackler in the area?

I agree suspension is a stretch. shite happens.

What about the penalty that should have been on the guy that poked Dee Milliner in the eye?
Posted on 12/3/12 at 1:54 pm to roadGator
Dial will be suspended for at least the first quarter of the title game

It's funny to me how some people keep screaming how obvious it is, yet they are incorrect in what they are saying.
I can fully accept that this was a dangerous hit, and if Murray can be called "defenseless" in that situation, then so be it. Whether it was against the rules or not, it was clearly a cheap shot and I won't defend it.
HOWEVER, it is NOT "helmet to helmet". Anyone who continues to say that he hit Murray with the crown of his helmet needs to calm down and watch the clip. Just because two helmets make contact does not mean it must have been a "helmet to helmet" hit, because you can't hit someone with the crown of your helmet when it is turned sideways.

Did they mention the helmet to helmet contact?

Ask Chad Jones and Joe Adams and the SEC officials if this is even remotely the interpretation. Sorry, Jack, there is too much precedent that disagrees with your pollyanna view of the situation.
