If Georgia wins come Saturday, they will play Notre Dame for the National Championship. This is not fair. Most every team in the Top 10 have far more impressive resumes than Georgia. Let's compare Georgia's resume to a mystery Top 10 team. I'm sure you can figure it out if you look at the rankings, but play along for now.

Georgia's resume:

>Notable wins: 4. Florida, 28. Vanderbilt, 54. Ole Miss, 58. Tennessee, 68. Georgia Tech

>Notable losses: 10. South Carolina, 35-7

"Mystery" Top Ten Team:

>Notable wins: 15th ranked team, 30, 31, 32, 34, 37, 40

>Notable losses: 8th ranked team, 17-14 OT

Now which team deserves to play for a National Championship? The mystery team has beat 7 Top 50 teams to Georgia's two. Yes, Georgia has the better victory(over Florida), but a National Championship contender should be forged over a long, grueling season, not one victory over a good team.

The loss is also important. Georgia got spanked by 10th ranked South Carolina, 35-7. The mystery team got beat by the 8th ranked team 17-14, in OT. No team that gets beat by 28 points should ever play for a National Championship.

So, if you're keeping score at home, both teams have the same record, but The Mystery Team has wins against better competition and their loss is to a higher ranked team, by less points than Georgia.

Even if Georgia beats Alabama Saturday, the mystery team would still have a more impressive resume.

Yes but once you add a win over Bama their resume is better than Duck or Gator. Aggy still better than all 3.

I can only wonder what team this is
Oregon hasn't played shite all season, gave up 50 something to USC and when they finally played a tough team they lost at home

LSU bitched slapped the Ducks last year. I'd imagine 4 or 5 could this year.

Ok I'll play. You're talking about Oregon obviously. If we beat Bama we would have 12 wins with 2 of them being over teams ranked #2. Oregon would not have a win over a top 10 team. In essence, WHAT THE frick ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

No more tahn bama deserves to play for NC, bama only tough test were LSU and A/M and they split. Georgia played Florida/Fl. St/S.C. and won 2 of 3.

Why would Alabama deserve it more than Georgia?

it would be a travesty for the SEC champion not to play for the NC in today's college football world. the SEC is not only the defending champion but the 6 time consecutive defending champion. we are the best until somebody proves us not. i say "tough shite" to you and anybody else that doesn't like it. try beating us sometimes; that's the only way to prove me wrong. whining and bitching is just loser talk and if you are a man you will agree.

We choked, we blew it, and we dont think we belong there.

By the way you completely missed the point that if Georgia wins Saturday, they will have had two wins against top 10 teams. Our best win is against 15. Oregon State

I'm sure you thought Oregon was much better than Auburn in 2010 and was going to beat the shite out them. But for what it's worth I do think Oregon would probably beat ND this season even with their shitty defense.
