2012 Statistics:
41/66 62% 649yds 4 TDs 2 INTs // 46 carries 146yds

Positives:
- Young (true frosh/ 18 years old)
- Hard working. Players and coaches have mentioned his eagerness to learn/ film study.
- Athleticism/ Mobility

Negatives:
- Arm strength
- Size (6-1, 190ish)
- Experience. He wasn't a prolifc passer in high school, and his playing time this year has mostly come against very bad defenses (A&M 2nd team, NMst, AA&M).

What's everyone's opinion after 3-1/2 games? We may not fully have an answer on Wallace until a few games into the 2013 season.

Once Johnson decommits, he will be our Quarterback for a while.

While he is young and inexperienced, he has a great head on his shoulders and seems to be a good kid. I believe he can be a typical Auburn QB. Workable.

I think he is around 200. Like to see him around 220

He's the best we have and the only QB on the roster that sees a pass rush and doesn't crap his pants. The fact they waited as long as they did to let him throw the ball is baffling. I'm not sure what they are trying to teach our QBs by running them up the middle every time they touch the ball as a freshman.

Long term, he'll never be great, but I could see him being serviceable. He overthrows people way too often. He needs a lot more touch on his passes

He's the best option we have at this point. I think he could be a good Auburn QB with the right coaching.

He can be a game manager type QB... Will not get you beat... Needs better talent around him. Fearless...
Will never be a pro... Can not make the long throw to truly stretch the D.

Petrino would turn the kid into a borderline All-SEC performer

From everything that has been said about him, he also has leadership skills which is something none of the other QB's have demonstrated.

He may not light the world on fire but if you combine his positives, I agree that the right coach will make him a good QB

So the plan is for a true freshman to push a true soph?

I don't think there are any other options... unless you believe either KF or CM are gonna step up and take over the job. IMO, frazier needs a change of scenery. I don't think it would be a bad thing for him to transfer, take his redshirt season, and come back and compete for a starting job somewhere in 2014.... i just don't think he's going to get it done here.

Agree. He needs to GTFO. Worst QB in recent AU history.

Seems to be the current theme doesn't it? Why stop now?

while i don't disagree that Frazier is one of the worst QB's in recent memory, I don't believe this coaching staff really helped him out with how they worked him into the offense.

taking a potential starting QB and only using him for (obvious) running situations and barely allowing him to throw then expecting that experience to help out moving forward hasn't worked how they thought it would. it seems more and more like he just doesn't have the mental side of the qb position down.

luckily for wallace, that same plan that was in place for him had to be abandoned and he was put in the starter's role, where he can at least play the role of a quarterback and not a wildcat qb.

i'm still not sold on wallace but he's not frazier and he's not scared, so until we find someone better, hopefully he'll continue to improve.
