Has this been discussed? Seems like i would allow for a lot of undying rivalries AU/UA TN/AL UGA/AU to remain intact

Alabama and Auburn to East

Vandy and Missouri to West

Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Carolina in the east...yeah, that's fair.

Congrats LSU for winning the west 25 of the next 30 years.

I'll take a shot at this:

1) Leave it like it is...change it..whatever

2) Tell me LSU's Schedule

3) BHP cheers like hell for LSU and enjoys the season

4) BHP refuses to whine about the "other team's advantage"

Rinse...repeat

Switching Auburn and Mizzou makes the most sense in my mind, at least geographically. All rivalries should be retained in that scenario.

A&M is playing LSU, Ole Miss, State, Arky, Alabama, and Auburn every year.

You can make the divisions however you want after that.

I feel like they will not change anything for a few years and see if certain schools can be competitive year in and year out.

I think the SEC should chunk geography and do one of two things,

This divisional setup:

West should be called a non geographic name and include:

LSU
Bama
AU
UT
UF
OM
MSU

Division 2:

Vandy
Arky
Mizzou
TAMU
UGA
SC
UK

Or upper and lower divisions with relegation of the bottom 3 teams in the upper league.

How about this?

EAST
Alabama
LSU
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina
Tennessee
Auburn

WEST

Ole Miss
Miss State
Arkansas
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
Missouri
Texas A&M

Two 13 team super-conferences with no out-of-conference play. Everybody plays each of the other 12 teams

WEST Conference

USC
Oregon
Stanford
Texas
Oklahoma
Alabama
LSU
A&M
Nebraska
Kansas State
Texas Tech
TCU
Oklahoma State

EAST Conference

Florida
Georgia
Ohio State
Michigan
Florida State
Miami
Notre Dame
Virginia Tech
Clemson
South Carolina
Michigan State
Tennessee

As much as it seems to imbalance the divisions, it does solve ALL scheduling problems and only has one minor (Tuscaloosa v. Nashville) geographic issue.

It simply makes sense.

The schedule could rotate all 3 non division games with no permanents.
