Me either. I was going to ask what happened to the creepy Lion.

Once I realized just how bad their offense was, I wondered how you guys lost, actually.

If OBJ could've caught in that game, we would've won it. I couldn't believe the drops by our WR until this past Saturday night.

The UA game was LSU on all cylinders. Now....do they keep it?

The lion is dapper and awesome.

And oddly reminiscent of a "Through the Looking-Glass, and what Alice found there" character.

Our inept offense. The poor D just finally wore out. When Mett threw decent, they were dropped. Other times Mett had bad throws. I think all LSU fans realized this offense had the potential to "click" and that is what we witnessed Saturday night. In all honesty, I still feel like we won even though we didn't. It is the realization that there is hope for our offense.

This is true. Lewis Carroll had nothing on the Lion though.

Sorry, animals portrayed as humans freak me out. Kinda why I hate when Brian on Family Guy has a human girlfriend. That shite is just

Well, at the end of the game Saturday, I did mention that there was a list of potential legit moral victories that could be taken from that game, and that the majority of them involved Mett.
What happened is that Mett simply lacked AJ's experience to be clutch in the final minute and 'Bama's two-minute defense stepped up.
Pat Dye actually said something that I agreed with today too. LSU stopped substituting their RBs for some odd reason. Y'all's guy got worn the frick out and it showed at the end of the game.
Fresh legs could have made the difference.

My opinion about the RBs is to let a few play for an extended period of time and then rotate. If they get "hot" let 'em play. Rotate them in chunks.

Well, y'all just seemed to keep Hill in the entire game. Eventually he got gassed, and Ware and Ford could have taken over in the final minute.

Ware should have been used more and NOT under center. I think we really miss Blue.

Yeah. We miss Fowler more than I care to admit. He practically was our I-formation set.
Anyway, I'm gonna go read a bit and go to sleep.
Y'all take care.

I'll admit that I had thought that LSU had taken a step back this year, but after seeing the way you guys played Saturday night I couldn't have been more wrong.
I'm pretty excited about it, if we hadn't been challenged like that by you guys then we may have been overconfident if we do make it to the NC game.It was a reality check that we just can't beat anyone by just stepping onto the field.I think our players will be more focused from here on out. This is a great tuneup game for the postseason every year for the team that wins.

Easily the two best teams in CF in 2011 and with the game LSU played Saturday night, I believe the same can be said for 2012.[/quote]
Agreed

That flawed system you speak of is the one that all Division 1 schools agreed to play by at the beginning of the Bowl Coalition that began in 1992 and later morphed into the BCS in 1997. LSU also has 2 titles as a result of this flawed system. As to SEC titles, you really don't want to go there if you're comparing conference titles with Bama. We have 22. But I forgot...LSU fans think anything ever won or achieved before Saban arrived in Baton Rouge
The SECCG originated in '92 after the expansion to 12 teams. I don't know of anyone who takes issue with the format, the teams that have played in it, or the eventual champ. There are no disputes with it. If otherwise, please state as much.
Conversely, it is rare that a NC is without dispute. There's a reason the NCAA doesn't award div1/FBS champions.
Since the inception of the SECCG, I think Bama won (correct me if I'm wrong) in '92, '99, and '09 (three total). LSU has won four ('01, '03, '07, '11).
So my point: the SEC football champion since '92 is without dipsute. The BCS (div1) football not so much.

Great conversation! Thanks!
While your new avi is both nice and true I think I liked the old one better.
