I think Saban was smiling at the end for two reasons: 1.) The obvious- we won. 2.) We got exposed and now he has material to show his players where to improve. If we don't, this team could end up allowing a lot more points then we are accustomed to

The only thing I have to bitch about is Vern and Danielson, maybe because we were getting our arse handed to us, but I had to watch the last 9 minutes of the game on mute

Major credit to LSU. You dominated the 2nd half and probably should've won.
We are officially rivals, although its different than UT or AU because win or lose I respect what you bring to the game each year which isn't the case every year with our two traditional rivals right now.

I had zero confidence we would score on the final drive. We knew LSU had a beastly defense coming in. It was a fricking war. And Mettenberger....... Did he sell his soul to the devil? Jesus H Christ he was on the money. Alabama overcame adversity, but so did LSU. I thought Bama was gonna roll at 14-3. But LSU said frick that shite. I love ya tigers and look froward to this fricking game every year.

Bama fan living in LA, so LSU is my second team. Tonight, my #2 team took my #1 team to the woodshed for a while. Congrats for playing with no fear and nothing held back. Now that this game is over, I'll root for you the rest of the year.

I don't consider this a moral victory, I consider this a damn strong showing and the best football I could want to watch. I'll never be an Alabama fan, but I can damn sure cheer for them to keep the streak alive. I'm excited for next year and what it might bring. I loved and hated this game, and that's all I could ever ask as an LSU fan.
