Recent history seems to suggest that it will.

Since 1984 with the exception of the 96 season a crappy Auburn team has meant a Democratic win and an at least decent season has meant a Republican win.

1984 - Auburn Record - 9-4 - President - Reagan (R)

1988 - Auburn Record - 10-2 - President - Bush Sr. (R)

1992 - Auburn Record - 5-5-1 - President - Clinton (D)

1996 - Auburn Record - 8-4 - President - Clinton (D) This was the only one that goes against the pattern.

2000 - Auburn Record - 9-4 - President - Bush Jr. (R)

2004 - Auburn Record - 13-0 - Preident - Bush Jr. (R)

2008 - Auburn Record - 5-7 - President - Obama (D)

2012 - Auburn Record - (probably) 3-9 - President -

Yes, I'm bored and have just about switched my mind into offseason mode, and have nothing better to do. Basically I'm just telling you that there is a very good chance Obama wins again. Sorry Republicans.

I thought Obama was a member of the Socialist Party, so out the window goes those stats. Or maybe it was communist.

I think there is some saying about correlation and causation that would apply here.

Like there is any difference between Romney and Obama. Every major policy passed or introduced by Obama with the exception of taxing the rich was a Republican idea in good standing within the last decade. Its the party of bad ideas v. the party of no ideas.
