ABout the only thing I really dislike about our play calling was the over use of the QB draw. LSU was holding their tackles from going up field and it just wasn't working. I would mind seeing a some option if we want to do designed runs with Johnny.

think we're not seeing more option solely because on the option you often see a QB get absolutely drilled by the DE on the pitch. I think they are trying to reduce the number of clean shots Manziel takes if possible
On the QB draw, it's really a set up play (as all draws are). Hopefully you can get a few yards and periodically break a nice run, but it's designed to stress the LBs who may drop too quickly against the draw or hesitate and don't get the drop on a future pass play. Our problem this week is, as you point out, we couldn't create lanes to make it dangerous at all. Simply doesn't put much stress on anyone when the DTs can make that play every time.
