It was not that long ago you were a doormat for the SEC. Remember the Bill Curry, Gene Stallings, Mike DuBose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Shula, Joe Kines years. What did you win ? a total of 22 games ?
Let's see..
Bill Curry, SEC champion..
Gene Stallings, SEC and National Champion..
Mike Dubose, SEC Champion..
You see, even when Bama is the "doormat", they bring home hardware. Order was restored on 1/9, remember? Bama's natural place is on top, buddy. Thanks for your concern!

Since the last time LSU won a national title (with a 2 loss team), Alabama has won 2 national titles and Auburn and Florida have won one. If there is any arrogant program out there that can't back up the smack talk it is LSU.

We did pretty much single-handedly build the SEC into what it is today. You could make a reasonable case that we should have at least some kind of a claim on the last six titles.

The SEC would not be what it is if not for Alabama. We built this conference.

Your fanbase is slacking. Five years ago those would have already been thrown into Alabama's total.

:kige:

Without Alabama building the conference those national titles would have never happened because the SEC would be about as strong as CUSA. Like Coach Saban (praise be his name) says, you need us more than we need you.

The arrogance of LSU fans.....I guess you forgot all about your GREAT history before Saban arrived and saved your shite program.

Seriously, get over yourself.

Bill Curry went 26-10 in three years and won an SEC championship and just about played for a national title in 1989.

Gene Stallings went 70-16-1, won an SEC as well as a national title. He averaged 10 wins a season while he was with the Tide. Yeah....that's doormat right there.

Mike Dubose sucked but even he managed to win an SEC title while he was our head coach.

Dennis Franchione would have had us in the SEC Championship Game in 2002 if not for probation. Arkansas went in our stead.

Mike Shula also sucked but even he managed to have us in the SEC and national title discussion for a few weeks in 2005. We were #3 in America at one point late in that season.

It will all be decided in a few weeks. I like our chances as I'm sure the Bama poster's like theirs.
