I still don't see the first violation in this situation. If it turns out that he eventually has grades changed or given at Foley then that would obviously be a different story.

Thats what I have said all along. nothing has happened. But he(washington AD) did allude to that it was going to happen.

For now, there has been no proof of any NCAA violation with Paige himself

Correct. like I stated in another post. The NCAA will likely look into the matter, as they do with most. There will likely not be an actual investigation. Nothing will happen unless someone royaly fricked up and something from the past is uncovered, which is highly unlikely. But as pertains to Paige nothing will happen as nothing wrong has occured, it's just been suggested that it was going to occur

Hence, he'll be "taken care of" at Foley.

Pruitt's words to recruit.

My argument isn't that it is impossible for their to have been violations in the past or that it's impossible something improper is going on. It's this idea that assumptions and interpretations of "take care of academically" is somehow proof that violations have already occurred in this situation. Unless Paige has up to this point been having grades changed by his current high school at the request of an Alabama coach then a violation has not occurred. Unless something happens in the future or current Bama players are found to have had their grades changed at the request of Bama coaches/representatives then this is a non issue.

New article from PNJ PNJ
The Darius Paige case has entered the wait-and-see phase.

Paige, a senior defensive tackle who has verbally committed to play football at the University of Alabama, transferred to Foley High School in Alabama on Tuesday amid allegations that Crimson Tide assistant coach Jeremy Pruitt recommended he go to Foley because they could “take care of him academically.”............

...........Washington coaches stand by their statement that Pruitt convinced Paige to transfer to Foley.

“When I talked to (Pruitt), he told me that he knew the coach at Foley (Todd Watson) really well and that he could take care of (Paige) academically,” Washington assistant coach George Schellang reiterated on Wednesday................
Phone calls placed to a number listed under the name of Steven L. Richardson — Paige’s father — were not successful....................
Stacey Osburn, associate director of media relations for the NCAA, said the organization would not have any comment on the situation.

“Thank you for your inquiry,” Osburn wrote in an email. “The NCAA does not confirm reports of potential violations. If a violation has in fact occurred and it is serious in nature, the NCAA will release its findings at the conclusion of the process.”

The News Journal has made a public records request for all electronic correspondence between Faucheaux and the Florida High School Athletic Association, AHSAA, NCAA and University of Alabama. That request currently is pending.

Being on the block system would actually lower the work load per semester from a 6/7 period day system.

Can't wait to see the results of the public records request. My money says the WHS AD comes off looking like an even bigger idiot than he already does

You have a lot invested emotionally in this. Maybe you should go worry about Jovon Robinson.

I like the way you bolded seemingly random words to make them appear important.

Thats another point Ive been saying. It appears that Paige has been helped a bit already to keep him playing at washington the past three years. He might not want people looking into his own program.

The kid is almost half his core credits(7 of 16) shy going into his last year. Seems like he should be a little further along than that.

Hence "Foley can take care of him academically." Obviously, this kid hasn't been taken care of by anyone at Washington. Hell, just about any school in the country could do better than this.

This gets so old, just start the damn season already. Everybody knows WE ALL bend the rules. Bring on Clemson, strap it up, and knock the hell out of someone.

He sho don't look to smart.

And if he is already that far behind coming out of WHS, then what the hell kind of plan did WHS have in place to help the kid?

This fella is going Juco folks. Maybe his parents and WHS coaches/guidance counselors should have done some preventative work and done something to help him this time LAST year.

they did what happens everywhere, even college. String them along for 3 years so they can get by and stay elligible, then the last year go into panic mode, do a bunch of stuff to pass them off to the next step.
