And he was a boss at LSU.
Is it more wisdom, more money, better staff, better school? Take your fricking pick fellas.

He rebuilt LSU's program. He didn't have to rebuild Bama's.

Saban is just being Saban. He could win chamnpionships at any high profile school.

Because everyone already knew he was a national championship caliber coach. That's how he was able to start recruiting at such a ridiculous level so quickly. That's really all there is to it.

Because he's at Bama...
Bama makes coaches better than they are.

LSU wasn't a name brand before Saban. Alabama has always been name brand.

Program tradition + master recruiter + excellent teacher + $ = great success..

Bama being a bit more of a name brand, maybe a little more money, having learned more and gotten better as a coach over the years, etc.

1. He had to kind of build his reputation at LSU. When he came to Alabama, he already had the reputation and clout and had immediate dramatic success in recruiting (thanks in large part to his LSU success).
2. He's become a better coach with experience.
3. Alabama football is more of a brand name than LSU football so it helps any coach that coaches there. Just the facts.

Older and wiser.
Better tradition to sell to players.
More is demanded and expected of coaches and players here.

He continues to evolve as a coach. Learning and implementing , while staying true to his basic philosophy.
Saban has stated a few times about the things he learned while in Miami along with the new perspective it gave him.

The serious answer is that the 2 year NFL detour was exactly what Saban needed. Saban had one eye on the NFL the entire time he was at LSU. His ultimate goal was always to coach in the NFL. He was always flirting with it and it was a distraction if anyone wants to admit it or not.
He realized at Miami that college football was his love and he was made to coach in college. When he went to Bama he was super focused and re-energized. While his recruiting was outstanding at LSU, he has really gone over the top at Bama.
He is recruiting at an unbelievable pace at Bama, because he is completely focused and there are no more serious rumors of his going to the NFL every single year that did hurt his recruiting a bit at LSU.

Had Saban stayed at LSU the results would have been similar. The difference is that Saban had nothing to prove when he arrived at Bama. The recruits already knew what he was made of.

He learned he is a college coach after he left LSU.
UA will throw money at anything football related.
UA stays the frick out of his way.
He can sell the BCS championships he has won on top of selling Bama football.
Lil' Debbies are now crack filled.
