kbohls ?@kbohls I'm told the meeting between the SEC and Big 12 champions would probably take place at Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

kbohls ?@kbohls I would think if such a game takes place, it should alternate between Jerry World and the Sugar Bowl, though.

Uh, that will pretty much never happen. Maybe once a decade, at best. This is kind of stupid.

Doh. You guys are announcing that you are sending us back where we came from cuz of our outdated message board and funky Oregon-lite uniforms and general Yankeeness, I just know it.

this agreement makes no sense to me.

it must just be the first step in the Big12-SEC "teaming up" to couteract the Big10-Pac12 power alliance.

But as far as the actual game, it will likely never happen where the Big12 champ and SEC champ are both not in the 4-team playoff. So this game will rarely, if ever, be played.

And FWIW, if this game ever does take place, it needs to be the Sugar Bowl.

Just checking in now, so I'm still not sure what's going on. Did the SEC and Big 12 basically just invent a new BCS bowl?

Also, I can't see both conferences failing to field a top 4 team very often.

So this basically forces the hand of several large football programs to make a move.

1. Notre Dame is now in danger of getting left out.
2. FSU and Clemson are likely headed to the Big 12.
3. VT needs a home.
4. UNC or NC State better grab the last spot in the SEC.

Slive is a fricking genious. He's using a conference that he almost destroyed to hurt another conference that has something that he wants. This is only a five year agreement. He's doing this to get VPI and one of the Carolina schools. Once he has them, who knows what he planned next.

Toes in the pool of a "play-in" Championship trial balloon, but expressed in a completely non-BCS game context?
