I guess you forgot the part where he had a higher completion % as a first year starter without Julio Jones than GREG MCELROY, one of the most accurate passers in SEC History, had WITH Julio Jones.

Plus, we'll have a lot of weapons on O and a very good O-line.

He had an outstanding year last year as a first year starter and I could certainly see him improve upon those numbers. New coordinator may affect him. Still unimpressed with the receiver corps although Norwood played very well against us. Bell will be a deep threat but hasn't done much to this point.

I think he'll have good numbers, just not that good and not with that many yards. You haven't had that many yards from a quarterback ever I don't believe. I don't think McCarron changes that even with every team loading the box.

Is it impossible to have a conversation/disagreement on this board without someone resorting to this stupid shite?

TM7 gets 200 yards on offense as a bubble screen gimmick back to increase his Heisman hype but will still fall short of Redd

I very nearly nailed our rushing last year. Guessed around 3K rushing and 35 TD's rushing and we had 2800 or so rushing and 34 TD's I think.

for this yr... gonna say...

Lacy - 1400 yds 15 rushing TD's
McCarron - 3200 yds 24 passing TD's 6 INT's
Kenny Bell is our leading receiver
Defense - 7th overall in the country

I would be shocked to see him on offense. Miles was asked about this last year and said he doesn't want to kill the man. He already plays every defensive and special teams play. He is a great playmaker, but we already have several playmakers on offense, just need to get them the ball. And that is where Mett comes in. His aggressiveness will turn the ball over a bit more than we did last year, but it will make more plays for us than last year

I agree. He'll throw some picks but I think he will throw the ball effectively enough for it to not matter.

McCarron and McElroy only had a high completion percentage because a large majority of their passes were under ten yards which was a trademark of the McElwain passing offense. The reason why Alabama struggled so much in the red zone under McElwain is because there was absolutely no variety in the passing attack. McElwain had one of the most simplistic passing schemes in football and teams bottled it up in the red zone. From what I've seen in the Spring Game, it seems like Nussmeier will be much more aggressive throwing the ball downfield this year so the completion percentage should go down a bit but I expect the red zone TD% to go up and the offense should have an easier time moving the ball quickly and more efficiently.

The only thing he'll be slinging is dime-bags.
