You don't think Long asked permission to speak to Smith?

Where were you when Chip Kelly, Freeze, among other coaches left their programs before bowl games to take another job?

Its a pussy move on your part to complain about how this went down. We are 5 months away from the first game of the season, not in the middle of the season with a game next week.

How could you not think the Weber kids didn't get dicked over?

Do you think they thought this was possible 4 weeks ago? Do you think they may have been excited to be coached by a guy that's been at one big time program in the past?

Has Weber ever had a coach with the resume of JLS?

I'm sure it's not the end of the world for most of them but dang that has to sting.

Uhaul coaches suck.

Because I think when a new coach went to his alma mater and then waited until almost summer time to take a better offer, that the kids got screwed. I don't think so. Just calling it like it is.

Don't worry so much about poor Weber. Watch for the new Walton\Tyson\Reynolds\Jones Practice Facility and Weight Room coming soon to Weber State.

I doubt it. He seems to like shady coaches and dealings.

Yes I have but I have never walked off a job. You give notice. You give the company time to cover your absence. That is how normal people do it though.

He left Weber State without a head coach. Weber State.

One more time, so that we're clear. Weber State. He had been there for four months. He had not recruited a single player, and there are about 1/2 a million coaches available to coach in that capacity.

There was maybe two that could coach in Arkansas' situation.

Weber State is 4 months away and has to find a new coach at an inopportune time. A new coach that can't implement his system during the spring and have the kids working on it on their own over the summer, but instead gets a few weeks before the season starts to implement it. I seriously don't understand how Arky fans who were just in the same situation don't understand this.

It's also not a normal job. Coaches develop bonds and trust with their players. Bailing on them in situations like this has to sting. Four months is plenty of time to form some fairly close relationships.

It has nothing to do with the emotional bond you dumbass, it leaves them without a coach or searching for a coach just a few months before fall practice starts. It fricks up their upcoming season. Arky fans of all people should understand how losing your HC this close to the season isn't ideal.

Read the quote I responded to, dumb arse! Don't be mad at Arkansas b/c even with an interim you'll still be battling for fourth.

Ouch.

I aspire to have no life to the point that I can post 14,000+ times on an SEC chat board.

Good luck with JLS. Karma is a bitch.
