That's like asking if the ACC is better than the SEC in football

wm72 - Florida is second in the SEC standings at moment and I think they will hold onto it. UNC and Duke are tied atop the ACC so it'd be the Gators vs one of those. And I think they could beat either.

Third place in ACC now is Florida State and third in SEC is Vandy and I happen to think that will also hold up. And I think the Noles' athleticicism would give them a slight edge but as has been the case since the dawn of time when it comes to Vandy, its all about if the Commodores' three pointers are falling on that particular night.

Robot Santa - am not totally sure how to interpret the dumpster fire comment but I assume you mean NCSU is gonna go to hell rather than saying they are gonna get hot/be on fire. Whatever the case, the Wolfpack bring in Rodney Purvis next year who is a supertar stud combo guard recruit in the mold of Derrick Rose, so I expect them to be a factor and at least threaten for an NCAA bid.

Never underestimate Mark Gottfried's ability to waste talent, alienate his players, and embarrass his employer. They will be deep in the shite in a few years.

Not really. The ACC is barely better than the SEC in basketball, but I wouldn't expect a rantard to know that.

Fair assessment.

I'd put Vandy #2 and UF #3 only because UF finishes at Vandy and against UK and I'm guessing Vandy ends up in second place.

Both Vandy and Florida live or die by the three though Vandy has a bit more heft that UF in the paint right now due to recent injuries.

This year, unquestionably yes.

Certainly SEC is better if you go by rpi.

SEC
KY 3
FL 18
VDY 23
ALA 27
MSU 68
LSU 69
OM 72
ARK 81
TN 90

9 teams in top 100.

ACC
DUKE 2
NC 5
FSU 22
VA 41
MIA 56
NC ST 73

9 SEC teams v. 6 ACC teams

Numbers don't lie. Objective facts show that this season SEC has more teams with rpi under 100 than ACC. You disagree?

You're a tarheel fan, but can you objectively tell us what you think duke basketball will be like after coach K retires?

I personally think duke will virtually dry up and blow away within ten years.

In all honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. What do they have holding them together?

And know one knows Duke without Coach K.

The reason I say this is in part geography. Simply duke is too close to UNC. There are way more tarheel fans and as cute as Cameron is, it simply is too small to compete once K leaves.

That's what I mean. There's no logical reason, besides Coach K, that Duke should be good.

Duke will be like UCLA post-Wooden. Still a solid program that can win a championship, but nothing like what they were.

Hopefully they fall apart and never make the NCAAs again though. Duke and their fans can all go frick off and die in an AIDS fire.

We'll see come tourney time. I wouldn't be surprised if Kentucky is the only team to get out of the second round

Don't lump me in the rantard category bro. I barely go to that hell hole

You are now my new favorite poster on here. It all depends on the direction they go after Coach K. I don't think Wojo will keep the program steady. As bad as I hate the frickers, Coach K is the best college coach hands down. He molds shite in to a delicious chocolate truffle.

Sec has the best team in Kentucky. Vandy could play with either Duke and UNC, because they can shoot. You never count out a team that can score in basketball. Same for Florida, if they're hitting their 3s.

Next year when we add Mizzou, then maybe you could make that argument.

Except the ACC will be adding Syracuse and Pitt.

Although that is in 2 season I think. So yes, maybe next year for once year.
