nope. He was a very good coach that took advantage of the system that was in place but Bowden and Paterno's accomplishments in the old school and modern football put them above Bryant.

Wow. Just wow. The man won 6 national titles and did it in about 25 fewer years than Paterno and Bowden.

This can't be a serious post. At least Bowden's best was more recent, but the vast majority of Paterno's accomplishments came within 5 years of the Bear's death or before. All Paterno has done since then is run up his win total. To call Paterno a better coach then Bryant because his accomplishments were more recent is laughable.
