ESPN.com analyst Brock Huard finally wrote what everyone -- and I mean everyone -- believes is about to happen in college football: The Pac-12 is poised to overtake the SEC as the nation's dominant conference.
Sorry, SEC. You had a nice run. We have a nice parting gift -- a Hickory Farms summer sausage & cheese gift box -- which you can pick up by the exit. Bye bye.

Isn't he a former QB for U Dub? Pac 12 homer and delusional to boot.

Or start playing defense like Bama.

When do states like Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Arizonia actually start developing high school talent of their own? Good luck!

Is a year where you conference champ got embarrassed on National TV by the SEC really when you want to make this statement?

I think there is a higher ceiling on the Pac-12 than any other conference beside the SEC. They just have to have enough people care as much as people in the southeast. Good luck.

Doesn't Brock call SEC games on ESPNU. I believe he did last year.

it's not a secret that the SEC cannot keep at this level of football for so long. competition like this will breed corruption.. and the SEC will fall one day.

To be fair to Huard in that blog, this is all he seemed to be saying. He just made a plausible case for why the Pac-12 could begin to improve dramatically. Then Ted Miller decided to share his own asinine conclusions from what Huard said to predict the demise of the SEC.

This shite is RICH.
He's dogging the SEC for not playing PAC schools to say that the SEC is about to get passed up?
We're about to finish up a home/home with Washington next year (we went to them first).
We recently demolished your conference champion on a neutral field.
What could possibly make him think they're even CLOSE to the caliber of the SEC?
Big 12 is definitely better. It's a distant battle for third with the PAC and the Big 10.

Brock Huard doesn't seem to have his facts straight. All 3 teams he calls out for not playing on the West Coast have actually played on regular season games on the West Coast in the past decade.

This. And its not far away. You will see teams like Tenn and Auburn that aren't ok with mediocrity doing whatever it takes to keep up with the jones's so to speak. Auburn has already been accused and investigated for it. They got off, but there is only a handful of people on this planet that really know for sure if it happened or not.
