The BAMA was the better team talk after last game

I respect BAMA as a team and an opponent but I thought all the BAMA was the better team talk after last game was not cool for multiple objective reasons:

1) We had more rushing yards. Period.

2)TR was held to under 100 yards. He is a beast.

3) Leaving points on the field applies to a missed short field goal.

4) I recall one short, field goal that was BLOCKED, not just missed. That shouldn't happen.

5) I recall the other field goals being long, as in >40-50 yards. Missing those are not
simply leaving points on the field.

6) Part of the reason you kicked so many field goals was due to BAMA's inability to move the ball in the red zone. Don't recall the specifics, but remember hearing that BAMA was like -30 yards rushing in the red zone?

7) At halftime, we were inside the 5 when we kicked our 1st FG.

8) We were poised to score a TD had it been needed when we kicked the game winning FG.

9) We won the turnover battle, correct?

10) Finally, this was in BAMA's House.

I respect this team enough to say that we are not heads and shoulders better than them. I would not be surprised to see em win a rematch. These are to good well matched football teams. Maybe LSU has a clear edge in special teams only. I just don't see the merit behind saying BAMA was the better team. But, if so, they will soon get a chance at redemption. Then who was the better team??

Doesn't matter LSU gets their chance to prove they were lucky to get out with a 3 pt loss.

Or Bama gets to prove they were the better team. Jan 9 be patient.

didn't read, but Bama was the better team last game and I was rooting for LSU. Bama left a lot of points out there on the field.

Great post. All facts that will be ignored or downplayed by the gump army, most of whom are quite well-trained in groupspeak.

Bama WAS NOT the better team that night. Christ, we beat them at home with our then backup QB.

(((9-6))) for the retards who flunked elementary school math.

Here's the thing: we find out in 34 days. If LSU wins, by any margin, regardless of context...Alabama fans will be forced to shut the frick up.

Although they probably won't.

Without looking up stats, I'll adress some of this for you.

quote:

1) We had more rushing yards. Period.

We had more total yards, period.

quote:

2)TR was held to under 100 yards. He is a beast.

TR had like ~150 yards if you include receiving.

) I recall one short, field goal that was BLOCKED, not just missed. That shouldn't happen.
It wasn't that short, but we put our kicker in that kicks short field goals and extra points cause cade foster (our long field goal kicker had already missed two). Shelly can't kick long ones and in trying to do so, he kicked it low.

5) I recall the other field goals being long, as in >40-50 yards. Missing those are simply leaving points on the field.

Cade foster doesn't kick short field goals or extra points for a reason.

6) Part of the reason you kicked so many field goals was due to BAMA's inability to move the ball in the red zone. Don't recall the specifics, but remember hearing that BAMA was like -30 yards rushing in the red zone?

Somethings were do to your defense. But us ending up in 4th and longs around the 30 were also due to us getting senseless penalties, maze falling on his own on a reverse, etc.

7) At halftime, we were inside the 5 when we kicked our 1st FG.

True, but ya still had to kick a field goal.

quote:

8) We were poised to score a TD had it been needed when we kicked the game winning FG.

Then why didn't you punch it in? Oh, cause it was 4th down.

quote:

9) Finally, this was in BAMA's House.

Yep.

He had 169 total yards. Like it or not, his receptions count.

I also respect LSU a great deal and I'm looking forward to a great game! IMO, if OSU was on our schedule, they'd have 2 more losses which is why I don't think it's a big deal we got in over them.

No no no....I listen to Finebaum occasionally....and it wasn't that they were the better team that night.....it was the fact that they "DOMINATED" LSU for four quarters. My definition of domination usually requires the dominator to prevail....but hey...definitions are subjective, right? Who am I to argue with Paul and Harvey Updyke? (Plus....I like my oaks in my front yard...)

We played our worse game of the year and still won the game. We will play much better this time and Miles will out coach Saban again.
