Not sure if better, but probably just as good. Their only loss is to the same team, and they both pretty much dominated the rest of their schedule (assuming of course they run the table).
An oregon win over Stanford will look better than any win that Bama has, right?
The more I think about it, if Stanford and OK St both lose, then it's either Oregon or Boise who gets the nod. But who knows. It's going to be a crazy ride. Love the BCS. I don't understand why there is so much hate for the system. It is flat out fun and drama filled every week of every season. No other sport has that.
I realize Alabama lost a game so we can't REALLY expect to be given the benefit of the doubt in all cases but it's funny hearing LSU fans constantly inventing new reasons and scenarios about how Bama has no business being in the rematch discussion.
Oklahoma State loses then its Oklahoma automatically deserves it over Alabama. Who cares that they have a horrible home loss to a barely bowl eligible Texas Tech team.
Oregon wins out and they deserve it because their blowout loss to LSU is less of an issue than Alabama's loss in an OT squeaker.
Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Stanford all lose and then LSU fans will be singing Boise State's praises arguing for them to get their chance because they're a conference champion and Bama isn't after all.
Okie State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Stanford, and Boise State all lose and LSU fans will be telling us that Houston deserves a chance over Alabama because they could probably score a few more on offense against LSU and they are, after all, conference champions.
LSU loses either to Arkansas or Georgia and they'll deserve a spot in the BCS Title game over Alabama because as we've heard all year they've played Oregon and West Virginia while Alabama hasn't played anyone.

I would say Oregon has a better argument for a rematch that Bama for these reasons.
Oregon lost to us week 1 and has had time to improve, while Bama lost late in the year
Oregon would have won its conference while Bama would not have won its own division
Oregon lost on a neutral field that really wasn't neutral at all, while Bama could not win AT HOME!!!
To me, the fact that bama lost at home outweighs anything else.

Didnt Ore have almost 100yrds of penalties in the LSU game along with thier 3 turnovers? Dont really know how or if that should figure into the voters minds if it were to come down to that.

We have two wins over top 12 teams ya idiot, geez at some if you people...
What's funny about that is that Penn St. is so irrelevant and phony, no one remembered.
Whoooaaaa Penn St!
I think they're schedule may be as bad as Boise's.

Just cause you got exposed as the idiot you are, don't try to undermind Penn State, one could talk schedule smack about 3/4 of the ranked teams....

No the BCS has them to far down to be considered!

If the ducks win out, they have the better arguement

But, that is going to change (given the scenario painted)
1) Bama will play Ga Southern...that will hurt them
2) Penn State (yuck) is going to lose at least 2 games, perhaps 3
3) Arky will have lost to LSU (relax Arky...I am going with the scenario in the OP: LSU is #1 team)
4) Oregon will have beaten Stanford and won a PAC-12 CG
And, Florida plays South Carolina and Florida State, which are two likely losses.

They play in the Pac 10....er 12 or is it 11???

At the end of the season, I doubt Penn State is still ranked (I think they lose the next three games), and I also think Arkansas will be ranked around 10-11.
The most impressive wins Alabama will have (in my scenario) is a win over 10-2 Arkansas and unranked Auburn (who will have 4 or 5 losses) and Penn State.
Oregon would have a win over a one-loss Stanford ranked in the top 10 (assuming, in this scenario, that Oregon beats Stanford).
But... this only takes into account the strength of schedule. I think most voters would give Bama the benefit of the doubt over Oregon if it comes down to those two teams.
But... I think the voters give a one-loss Oklahoma with a win over a one-loss Oklahoma State the benefit over Bama...
just my relativetly worthless two cents.

LOL @ the arguments for Oregon cause they played Lsu on a neutral site but no mentions of Oregon getting to face Lsu who was playing without JJ and Russell Sheppard. Not like Lsu needed them against Bama or anything

They also were dealing with suspensions. Cliff Harris or whatever his name is.. is legit.

Oregon gave up three turnovers and was in the game till late, while Alabama got two turnovers and couldn't even score a touchdown. D'Anthony Thomas has had time to mature and learn how not to fumble. Oregon should play in NO before Bama.
Turnovers are still part of the game. If not for Claibourne's interception and return, Alabama probably wins the game 6-3. And Oregon wasn't in the game late. It was 40-20 with like 5 minutes left.

If not for Lees two ridiculous INTs, LSU wins 17-3 Oregon hung with LSU until the 4th quarter, and they got worn down.
You can say what you want about them playing in the Pac12.. but that offense is legit and better than any in the SEC.

One of those INTs was on third and long and there was no LSU receiver there. You guys had one good drive all game. Still, the better team finds a way to win and that's exactly what you did.

Redzone 3 times > Redzone 1 time
LSU dropped a TD pass and Ford (barely) stepped out of bounds on an easy TD run in OT. LSU left more points on the field than Alabama did. Factual information.

IMO LSU and Bama are top 2 teams in the nation right now, and baring an upset both will win out
If Oregon and OU win out then her is what u wlll have:
Oregon - 12-1 conference champ (played an extra game) only loss to #1 team at neutral site, beat USC, Stanford, and PAC-12CG
Oklahoma - 11-1 conference champ, horrible toss to TT
Bama - 11-1 SEC west runner up, only loss to #1 team at home
Stanford - 11-1 PAC-12 N runner up, late season loss, no chance
Oky St. 11-1 Big12-2 runner up, late season loss, no change
Boise St - 12-0 conference no body champ, undefeated, weak schedule, best will likely SECCG loser
So it will come down to Bama, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Boise
computers will decimate Boise, but dont count out the human polls. I can see the 2nd place human votes being split between all 4, but it gonna come down to computer rankings to seperate the pack
So how does the computer poll change over the next few weeks. Bama/OU will suffer from no conference champ game
Oregon has 2 top 25 teams remaining, one that will remain top 7
SEC is not as strong this year as past years, we are top heavy
IMO it will be crazy, with 3 teams all complaining they got screwed, but i think the computers will decide who gets in and that is what will piss off the masses the most....
