I still don't see it. Teams in the SEC, even SECE would find a way to stop Moore and their offense. Moore puts up all those silly stats on a bunch of 2 star DB's. Also, I don't see their D being able to stop a Lattimore (I know he is hurt), Crowell, Richardson, or Dyer on a week to week basis. I just don't think they have the personel to do it.

you said it wouldn't even be close. Depending upon whose schedule they had, they may win with one loss (UGA schedule for example), or end up with three conference losses. Easily.
Regardless of whose schedule they get, Boise would beat every team in the east this year as well as most of the teams in the west.
Hence, they would win the east, and it would not be close. They already curb stomped UGA. They would kill Fla this year and USC would just be a stepping stone
I would comment on Tenn, UK and Vandy but that would just be silly.
Very easy to understand.

first game of the year, the bland one on sedatives did not have them ready.
NO WAY they make it through unscathed. If Lattimore can't even stay healthy all year, no way Moore and Co. do.
They would suffer a bit with the week in/week out thing and injuries.
They just pulled out a win at home by the skin of their teeth against frickin' Army! Puhlease.

that they'd curb stomp Auburn?
Probably, if healthy. Otherwise, it's a game.

First game of the year for both teams. Even

Lattimore is not that hard to stop. Just because he has racked up 200 yards a game against UGA the past two years does not make him a super hero. If you just stack the box, you can stop him. They have no passing game.

All teams have close games. Just like UGA barely pulling out the game against Vandy by one single play. You cant have it both ways

If they were allowed to keep their current cotton candy schedule and have it count in the conference standings, sure.

You and I share the same idea about it. Kellen Moore wouldn't have 14 seconds to complete a pass like he does if he were facing SEC D-Lines each week. Even Vandy's D-Line would get more pressure than they get. That's not even mentioning the injury factor.

Would they? Depends on their schedule, IMO. If they had UGAy's then there's definitely a chance, but otherwise I'd have to say no.
The weekly grind of the SEC is just too much for a team that small up front. They only have one guy over 300 on their O line or D line. Matter of fact, their average O line weight is about 20 lbs lighter than the average SEC line (just from glancing at depth charts of each team).
Also, how good are their backups? We've seen major injuries to each East team. Could BS do without Mitch Burroughs or Kellan Moore? What if they were down to their 5th string RB? Just too many variables to really honestly answer that question.
I'm still going with NO, though.

Lattimore is still heads above any RB that Boise has. They would have zero run game in the SEC, and that pass happy crap wouldn't work like it does.

Georgia should have been ready. The Boise coaches had them ready.

I wouldn't say that, Martin is actually a pretty good back...Very strong

I would say that. Our offensive line is absolutely awful, and Lattimore was already closing in on 1000 yards before his injury. The only games in which he was a non-factor were Auburn (Garcia's terrible performance), and Miss State.

Yea, he's pretty good. Lattimore, however, is GREAT. Don't put the two in the same category, please.

No one running back is hard to shut down. Have you not seen that yet? But if you have a passing attack, it makes it much more of a risk.
I was not doubting Latt. Great back. But if you don't want him to beat you, You can avoid that.
Look, I hate Boise. I hate hearing about them at all. But the reality is, right now they are a better football team than any team in the east and all the teams in the west other than Ark, Bama and LSU. Once Moore is gone and possibly Petterson, they will be La Tech again and be a non factor. But for now, you are either blind or a fool if you don't think they are a pretty good team.

quote:Depends.
Would Boise win the East?
If they didn't have to play Bama/LSU/Arky from the SECw, they would have an outside shot of going undefeated, but highly unlikely...and would win the SECe.
If they played UT/UF schedule, they would have at least 2 losses. If they lost their starting QB like both of those teams, then they might not even win the SECe.

Disagree with this. There reputation is built on a weak arse schedule. Hell, we made OM look like an NFL team in the first half against us. Boise is getting about 1 to 2 decent opponents a year in regular season. Let them get pounded for a few weeks in a row and lets see how they would do.
